Folsom residents urged to get their stretch on

Stretch Zone in Folsom will host a grand re-opening community event Saturday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 717 E. Bidwell St., Suite 2, celebrating the studio's refreshed approach in the community. Business members also hope to discuss new research which suggests practitioner-assisted stretching can have effective results for people who need it. The event is open to community members; guests are invited to enjoy refreshments, small bites, giveaways and an opportunity to learn more about the science behind Stretch Zone's stretching methodology. First-time guests will also be invited to book a complimentary 30-minute stretch session, offering a firsthand experience of the Stretch Zone difference. In their marketing release, officials from The Stretch Zone Effect said recently released findings are some of the first large-scale studies examining the real-world outcomes of guided, practitioner-assisted stretching. They say the research demonstrates that consistent stretching sessions can produce measurable improvements in mobility, flexibility and overall physical wellbeing. Key findings from the study include: • 85 percent of participants experienced improved range of motion with regular sessions. • Participants saw significant flexibility gains, including an average 8-11 degrees improvement in back flexion. • Many reported reduced physical discomfort, improved sleep quality and increased daily energy levels. • Results showed a clear correlation between frequency of stretching and improved outcomes.
