New reporter to cover Lincoln, Rocklin for Gold Mountain California News Media

Gold Mountain California News Media has a new team member. Athena Stroben graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sacramento State in the fall of 2025 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in fashion and family consumer science. Now she's ready to take on the Lincoln/Rocklin beat serving mostly the Lincoln News Messenger and Placer Herald, though you'll also see her bylines in the Roseville Press Tribune and Loomis News. Stroben is from the Rocklin area and hopes to bring a fresh new perspective to the News Messenger and Gold Mountain News while actively covering and reporting in the Lincoln and Rocklin communities. She's proud to report on the surrounding communities and hopes to bring awareness to what's going on in your neighborhood while keeping you updated and in the know.
