SAFE Credit Union plans grand opening in Granite Bay

People driving near the shopping center at Douglas Blvd. and Sierra College in Granite Bay may have noticed a new addition recently: SAFE Credit Union has been preparing for the opening of a new branch in that location. On Friday, March 20, the credit union will hold its grand-opening celebration, complete with a debut of unique high-tech features. SAFE Credit Union officials said they're excited to unveil the location's "unique pairing of technology and personal services" at the new branch. The credit union is 4,800 square feet and will feature state-of-the-art in-person banking services with transaction pods replacing teller windows and a charging station to connect personal devices for banking transactions. The branch also plans to offer a hospitality bar with complimentary coffee and water. It will feature four ATMs for quick banking needs. "I am so excited to be leading the opening of our new Granite Bay branch where our members will be able to come in and consult with one of our representatives while simultaneously being able to connect with their own personal devices to conduct their banking transactions," says SAFE Credit Union Branch Manager Marcus Webb. The branch is opening in the rejuvenated Sierra Oaks Plaza Center which is anchored by Nugget Market and has popular tenants such as Chick Fil-A, Habit Burger, La Bou and another new business coming soon - Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. The Granite Bay branch will be SAFE Credit Union's 18th in the Sacramento region; the credit union is partnering with Sierra College's Art Department to feature student artwork on a rotating schedule in the branch's Financial Freedom Hub community room. "SAFE's goal is to provide each member with a lasting positive experience and that includes whether that is online or in one of our credit union branches," says SAFE Credit Union Chief Operating Officer Tiffani Vargas. "We are taking that mission to the next level here at our new Granite Bay branch by directly pairing additional opportunities for the use of personal technology with that often much-needed human connection."
