Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers to bring decorated horses to Sutter Street for St. Patrick's Day

Locals searching for a St. Patrick's Day experience worth leaving the couch for need to point themselves toward the 600-900 blocks of Sutter Street on March 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. The Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers will ride through the heart of Historic Folsom atop elaborately decorated horses, their colorful manes turning one of the district's most storied stretches of pavement into a free, open-air spectacle. The event is a fitting way to celebrate in a neighborhood where history and community have always shared the same sidewalk — Sutter Street served as a segment of the Lincoln Highway as far back as 1915 and has been the beating heart of Folsom since gold prospectors first passed through in the 1850s. The Painted Ladies ride kicks off what promises to be a lively spring calendar in the Historic District. Later in March, Folsom Wine and Jazz returns to the Zittel Family Amphitheater on March 26 from 6 to 9:30 p.m., and the Déjà Vuu Vintage Market fills Folsom Station Plaza on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April brings the Spring Arts and Craft Fair to the 600-900 blocks of Sutter Street on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the weekly Farmers Market at the Sutter Street Plaza Railroad Turntable continues every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the season.
