Gypsy Chic vintage 'Gardenology' opens in Lincoln

Gypsy Chic Vintage Market kicked off its "Gardenology" pop-up market last week on 109 Flocchini Circle in Lincoln. Gypsy Chic was founded in 2008 when owner Nancy Tilford gained creative inspiration after the stock market crash. "Gypsy Chic started after the crash destroyed our lives. I started doing antiques and vintage events. I would go to other people's events and sell," Tilford said. "I saw an opportunity for a pop-up market instead of a regular store and I liked the idea of only being here a few days of the month and the rest of the days we're out hunting and gathering." Gypsy Chic offers a wide variety of all things vintage, refurbished, repurposed and most importantly reloved. Their inventory ranges from furniture and home decor to clothes and jewelry. There's always something unique and one-of-a-kind to find here. "Ninety percent or more of the merchandise we sell is pre-owned, vintage and antique. We're very green and sustainable and we're very proud of that," Tilford said. "Everything's unique, because we don't sell 20 of every item. "We bring people from faraway places like Reno, Redding, Chico, Napa and Monterey. We have customers all over Northern California," Tilford said. "When they come from far away they spend money in Lincoln and that benefits the community. I'm very proud that we bring a lot of people to Lincoln." "Gardenology" ran through Sunday, March 15.
