Pediatric Kaiser patients to receive special prom

Current and former pediatric patients at Kaiser Permanente Roseville are about to experience an "enchanted aquatic wonderland." On Saturday, March 21, the patients are being given a special prom night with an "Under the Sea" theme. The event is not only bringing festivities and food but also a visit from some Sacramento Kings players. This seventh annual event is for Kaiser Permanente patients who may have missed their prom and other social events due to medical conditions. Kaiser Permanente wants to ensure patients that their care extends beyond physical needs but also prioritizes emotional and social wellbeing. Kaiser officials said in a statement how excited they are to bring this festive event to the kids. "Our employees worked for months to plan the event, including the menu, entertainment and decorations, and also donated formal wear. Roseville-area stylists are donating their time and supplies to do hair, makeup and nails. Local businesses, service organizations and churches have helped with furniture, décor, raffle prizes, flowers, snacks and swag bags." said Kaiser officials in a press release. The aesthetic for the event is described as a "shimmering underwater paradise." Teenage patients will enjoy appetizers, mocktails, music, games and raffle prizes. Sacramento Kings players will join the kids and pose for photos and socialize with guests. The event is happening from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center at 1600 Eureka Road, Building D for current and former patients, with physicians and staff also partaking in the fun.
