Spring is in the air, as Summerset Senior Living hosted a Spring Market and Vendor Faire at 567 3rd Street in Lincoln. Summerset is an assisted living facility serving California and Nevada seniors in need while providing around-the-clock care, hospitality and hosting monthly entertaining events for its residents. Help at Home Senior Care and Senior Care Clinic partnered in hosting their booth advertising their services and assistance programs for the elderly. "We do non-medical home care for seniors. We've been in business for 22 years covering throughout Nevada County all the way down into North Sacramento," Rhonda Horsman said. "We provide specially trained caregivers who support discharge plans when people are getting out of the hospital, companionship care, transportation in your home all the way up to advanced Alzheimer's dementia care, and people who are bedridden, we have several different levels of caregivers." "We provide primary care services. If they need labs, X-rays and refills, we are able to order that for them," said Karen Sanchez, community liaison & activity manager. "We mainly work with Medicare; we're also able to provide palliative care, especially for seniors that are at home or can't get out or they don't drive. We bring the doctor to their house."
