Flock Cameras assist Lincoln PD in arrests

Flock Safety Cameras assisted Lincoln Police in felony retail theft arrests on March 19. "On March 19, LPD officers responded swiftly to a reported theft at The Home Depot, where a suspect fled with approximately $1,000 in merchandise. Thanks to Flock Safety Cameras, officers were able to quickly identify the suspect vehicle's license plate, critical information that was otherwise not available," police said in a Facebook press release. "This led to Roseville PD locating the vehicle in their jurisdiction and detaining three individuals." The Lincoln Police Department took the lead on the investigation, resulting in the arrest of James Fischer and Michael Juvenal. "Both were charged with organized retail theft, petty theft with priors, and conspiracy. Fischer was also on parole and had an active felony warrant for petty theft with priors out of Sacramento County. Both arrested parties were booked into the South Placer Main Jail", police commented. Fischer remains in custody and is ineligible for bail. Juvenal remains in custody with bail set at $60,000. Both individuals were recheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon. "Incidents like this demonstrate the real-world value of advanced technology and seamless collaboration between neighboring agencies in protecting our neighborhoods from retail crime," police commented.
