Nature Center welcomes families for free public open day

Spring is in full swing and Placer Nature Center is throwing open its gates for a free public open day on Saturday, April 25, — the perfect opportunity for families to shake off the week, hit the trails and reconnect with the natural world right in their own backyard. Visitors are encouraged to bring a packed lunch and settle in at the picnic tables, explore the hiking trails at their own pace and stay as long as they like. Docent-led hikes may also be available and will be announced as details are confirmed. Whether families stop by for a quick stroll or spend the whole morning outdoors, organizers hope the open day will introduce more community members to the center and the meaningful work it does for the region.
