Kathleen Cook-Bowen 9/02/1946 - 3/08/2026

Kathleen Cook-Bowen, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Kathleen was born September 2, 1946 to Isabella Snyder and Vincent Snyder in Queens, New York City. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband William A. Bowen; her daughter Jeanine Mashburn; her son Brian Cook; her sisters Elizabeth and Stephanie; her grandchildren Ty, Jacob, Eva, Joelle, McKenzie, Angel; her step-children Ken, Karin, and Kathie; and numerous Cook and Snyder families nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathleen was preceded in death by her late husband Byron Cook; her parents; and her sisters Anne and Susan. Kathleen moved with her family to Sacramento in 1965 and graduated from Sacramento State College with a degree in mathematics. She taught in the Loomis School district for thirteen years and founded CUI computer training company in 1983. Most important to Kathy were her family and the many people she was able to touch in some positive way through the years as a teacher, school principal, business woman, and friend. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, April 26th at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Loomis, 6414 Brace Road, Loomis, CA.
