'Ghost gun', ammunition found in suspect car by Folsom PD

A man who was allegedly threatening employees in a Folsom business, saying he would shoot and kill them, triggered an investigation by Folsom Police which led to a discovery of an unregistered "ghost gun" and ammunition in that man's car. That suspect, Jordell Haggins, is now in jail facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. Folsom Police said events in the case began on Saturday April 4 shortly before 2 am when they received reports coming from the 700 block of Gold Lake Drive about a man threatening to shoot and kill employees and brandishing a firearm. When officers arrived on scene, they found and detained the suspect near his car. During their investigation, officers observed what appeared to be a handgun magazine protruding from beneath the driver's seat. A records check showed the suspect did not have any firearms registered in his name. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded, unregistered "ghost gun", a high-capacity magazine, and 100 additional rounds of ammunition. Jordell Haggins, 23, of Sacramento, was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including making criminal threats, possession of a high-capacity magazine, brandishing a firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
