Stephen Coffman 9/09/1934 - 2/03/2026

Stephen Allen Coffman, 91, born on September 9, 1934 in Long Beach, California, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and deep love for his family and community. Stephen proudly served in the United States Navy during the end of the Korean War to the beginning of the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped his lifelong sense of duty and patriotism. After returning home, he pursued his education at Fullerton Jr. College and at San Diego State University, graduating with honors, building a solid foundation for a long and successful career. He worked for Pacific Bell Communication Corporation for 37 years, earning the respect of colleagues through his reliability, strong work ethic, and steady character. Beyond his professional life, Stephen was a proud member of Freemasonry for 50 years, living out its principles of brotherhood, charity, and integrity. Stephen loved to travel and cherished the memories made along the way with family and friends. He was also deeply committed to volunteer work in Foresthill, where he gave generously of his time and energy to strengthen the community he called home. President of Memorial Community Chapel and Easter Breakfast for 16 years; Commander of American Legion Post 587; President and Treasurer of Foresthill Historical Society; Treasurer of Safety Club and for 25 years planning; and Treasurer of Council for New Hope Lutheran Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Donna Coffman; his son Douglas and his wife Kelli and daughter Anne and her husband Andy; his 9 grandchildren; and his 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Laura and Percy Coffman; his two older brothers, Murray and Howard; and sons, Michael and Andrew Coffman.
