HART of Folsom hosts Big Day of Giving Fiesta

HART of Folsom, the community's volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to helping unhoused residents move toward self-sufficiency, will host its annual Big Day of Giving Fiesta on Wednesday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma St. The festive fundraising dinner features an authentic Mexican meal served by volunteers from Bayside Church, refreshing drinks, a much-anticipated dessert raffle and live performances by students from Folsom Lake College. Local officials will also be in attendance for an evening that blends community celebration with meaningful giving. Tickets are $50 per seat or $360 for a table of eight, with ticket sales closing April 29. Founded in 2017 as Folsom's first winter shelter, HART of Folsom has grown into part of a regional network of 10 grassroots organizations across the Sacramento area, currently operating seven transitional housing units supported by dedicated case management. This year's fiesta comes on the heels of an exciting milestone — the groundbreaking of HART's Student Village, a new chapter in the organization's mission to expand housing capacity for those in need.
