George Lasater Jr 9/26/1932 - 3/18/2026

George Walter Lasater Jr was born to George and Marjorie Lasater in Bremerton Washington, September 26, 1932. He left this earth in Auburn California on March 18, 2026. In Yucaipa California he met Ellen Prince, his wife of 71 years and in 1964, they moved to Auburn California with their six children. He had a long-lasting career within civil service with the United States government starting with laser research at McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento California. A transfer took the family to Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio Texas for a brief period in the late 1960s. The family returned to Auburn California as he spent a while at Kelly Air Force Base. He returned to Auburn and eventually was hired at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo California as a radiation monitor. He retired from Mare Island. George was preceded in death by his wife Ellen and two sons: Bradly and Todd Lasater. He is survived by 4 remaining children, Rebecca Bairrington, Rachel Carter, Boyd Lasater and Dianna Wilkinson along with 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
