Put on your best 'Boots and Bling' to support horses in need

All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE) is holding its 13th annual Boots and Bling event on Saturday, May 16, at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natomas Street. The public is invited to participate in event festivities, which include BBQ dinner, live/silent (virtual) auctions, entertainment and a no-host bar (beer and wine). Boots and Bling raises funds to support AAE's horses and operations. Tickets are $70, and sponsorships, including tables, are available. Purchase tickets early; this event has sold out with 350 to 400-plus ticket holders six of the last seven years. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the special gues is KCRA 3 TV personality Tamara Berg. AAE is in Pilot Hill and is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3 ) nonprofit organization that has rescued and rehabilitated more than 434 horses and adopted 333. Additionally, AAE has helped 247 other animals, including dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, cows, goats, sheep, alpacas, mini pigs, chickens, turkeys, geese and a tortoise.
