Man accused of robbery at Folsom Outlets and other recent thefts arrested

Folsom Police nabbed a man accused of robbery at the Folsom Premium Outlets and later discovered he is also allegedly responsible for a few other theft cases in town. Folsom PD said on April 23 just before 4 pm, officers responded to the Folsom Premium Outlets after an employee of a business there reported they had just been robbed. The suspect allegedly assaulted the employee and threatened to shoot them before fleeing towards Folsom Blvd in a white SUV. Within 10 minutes, officers found the suspect's vehicle near Folsom Blvd and Hazel Avenue in Rancho Cordova. The suspect was initially non-compliant and began walking away from the vehicle before being safely detained. A search of the car led to the recovery of all items stolen from the business, along with additional suspected stolen clothing and high-end footwear. The total value of the recovered merchandise was $2,647. During the investigation, officers identified the suspect as being involved in two additional theft cases in Folsom: a March 12 theft with a loss totaling 4560.31 and an April 6 theft with a loss totaling $1,965.99. Items connected to those cases were also recovered from the car. Justin Stevens, 34, of Sacramento, was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on multiple charges, including robbery, violation of probation, and resisting a peace officer.
