Galleria project to bring pedestrian pathways, outdoor setting

The Westfield Galleria mall in Roseville has announced a unique new project it's launching which will bring outside pedestrian trails to the shopping center site, encouraging outdoor activity, dining and shopping. The Trails at Roseville is described by mall officials as a transformative renovation of its western promenade, set to redefine outdoor retail and dining in the greater Sacramento area. The project will move forward with construction beginning in May. Anchoring the transformed promenade, home furnishing leaders Arhaus and Design Within Reach will debut alongside dining concepts Sweetgreen, Doppio Zero and King's Fish House, all new to the center. "We have long envisioned transforming our western promenade into a true destination for dining, design and community gathering, and The Trails at Roseville project does exactly that," said Jeff Richardson, senior general manager of Westfield Galleria at Roseville. "From the pedestrian trails and shaded gathering spaces to the exceptional mix of design and dining brands, every element has been crafted to create a place where people truly want to spend time, and we're thrilled to bring this concept to life." At the heart of the project is a network of new pedestrian pathways that will serve as the connective thread throughout the upgraded area, linking retail and dining destinations in a walkable outdoor setting. Shaded seating areas along the trails will invite guests to slow down and linger, while a series of patios will be available for social gathering in the central courtyard. Remodeled tenant facades and new landscaping and lighting will complete the transformation, all guided by a Sierra Modern design palette of natural, raw materials and warm tones that nod to the beauty of the surrounding region. Construction is targeted for completion in spring 2027.
