George Robert "Bob" Yuill 8/04/1929 - 5/02/2026

George Robert "Bob" Yuill, an only child born August 4, 1929, in Warrenton, Oregon, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family. He was the beloved son of Helen and Leslie Yuill. At the age of five, Bob moved with his parents to California; and by 16, he had ventured out on his own, demonstrating the fierce independence that would define his life. Bob proudly served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he attended Grant Technical School in Sacramento, where he met—the love of his life—Suzette O'Gorman. They married in 1955 and celebrated a remarkable 70 years of marriage on September 11, 2025. Bob and Suzette made their first home in Sacramento, where they raised their two sons, Scott and Mark. Bob began his working life as a delivery driver for the well-known Clauss & Kraus Meat Market before building a successful and respected career in insurance. He owned and operated a State Farm agency for 26 years until retiring in 1995. In retirement, Bob and Suzette settled in the Lincoln Hills community in Lincoln, California, where they shared many happy years together in the home where Bob passed comfortably. He is survived by his devoted wife Suzette Yuill; his son Scott Yuill and daughter-in-law Tami Bogert Yuill; and his grandsons Brennan Yuill and Dustin Yuill and their mother Tara Yuill. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Yuill. Bob is also survived by family on Suzette's side, including his sister-in-law Marilyn O'Gorman and nieces Debbie O'Gorman (and children Katie, Frank, Michael, and Joe), Cindy Gonzales (and husband David Gonzales and their children Cassie, Amanda, and Dominic), Jeni Madole (and husband Craig Madole and their daughter Megan), Kristen Rivas (and husband Antonio Rivas and their children Grace and Tonyo), and Tim O'Gorman (and daughter Riley); as well as other extended family and loved ones, including those who affectionately call him "Papa Bob." He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Paul O'Gorman and nephew Tom O'Gorman. Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, his ability to make others laugh, his famously stubborn nature, his love of golf, and his unabashed enjoyment of the occasional (or perhaps frequent) cigar. He leaves behind a lifetime—nearly 97 years—of memories and meaning, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Consistent with his wishes, no funeral or formal memorial will occur.
