Stephen David Green 2/17/1950 - 9/14/2025

Stephen David Green (Steve) of Auburn, California, entered the kingdom of heaven on September 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 17, 1950, in Fresno, California, to Theodore Green and Inez Carvalho. Steve spent his early years in Fresno, California. As a young man, his family moved to the island of Oahu, where he attended Kalani High School in Honolulu, graduating in 1968. He attended Fresno City College before transferring to Humboldt State University. It was in Humboldt County that Steve met Jesus Christ who changed him forever. He lived at Lighthouse Ranch, an evangelical Christian commune in Loleta, CA, where he met the love of his life, Colleen Glassburn. Steve and Colleen were married in 1977 and shared 48 beautiful years together. They built a life rooted in faith, love, and family, eventually settling in Auburn, California, where they raised their three children. Steve leaves behind his devoted wife, Colleen; Sons Joshua (Lacy Campbell), David (Lia Thao), beloved grandsons, Quinn and Morgan, and daughter Bethany Green, (Brandon Wautlet). Steve is also lovingly remembered by his brother Paul Kevin Green, (Joyce) nieces Taryn Garnett and Alexa Green, his stepmother Dorothy Green; and Sister-in-Law Pamela Crider (Bill Crider). Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore, and Inez, as well as his sister Juvanne Green-Martin. Steve was a talented guitarist and musician with a deep appreciation for all styles of music. He found immense joy in nature and God's creation and was an accomplished gardener who tended to his garden as he did with his family - with patience and care. He treasured being a husband, father, and Papa. For 35 years, he faithfully served Auburn, Grass Valley, and the surrounding communities as a self-employed windshield repairman, becoming a familiar and beloved friend to many of his customers. While the loss of Steve is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, our sorrow is softened, by the assurance that he is now in the arms of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. His legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he cherished.
