The Newcastle Community Association invites residents and visitors to gather in the heart of town for Celebrate Newcastle, a vibrant, family-friendly event taking place Sunday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Newcastle on Main Street. Set against the backdrop of Newcastle's rich agricultural heritage and small-town charm, this special day is designed to bring the community together while showcasing the very best of what the area has to offer. With more than 50 local crafters, artists, vendors and nonprofit organizations, attendees will have the opportunity to browse unique handmade goods, connect with local groups and support small businesses that help make Newcastle such a special place. Food lovers will have plenty to enjoy throughout the day. Start your morning with delicious pastries and treats from Crumb & Butter Bakery, known for their fresh, artisan baked goods. When it's time for lunch, grab a bite from Messy's Taco Truck, serving crowd-favorite tacos and savory specialties. Live entertainment will keep the energy high all day. The local classic rock band CTRL-ALT-DELETE will provide a lively soundtrack, while performances from Newcastle's Hālau Hula Pono will bring the beauty and tradition of Hawaiian dance to the stage. Attendees can also get moving with fun and engaging demonstrations from the Newcastle Jazzercise group.
