Vista del Lago student earns National Charity League award

The Folsom Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation's premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, announced that Sydney Wilson was selected as a recipient of the prestigious 18 Under Eighteen Award, a national recognition honoring exceptional leadership, service and dedication among NCL Ticktockers. Sydney, a junior at Vista del Lago High School, is one of 18 young women selected nationwide for this distinguished honor. Recipients were chosen through a highly competitive application process led by the National Ticktocker Advisory Council, which included the submission of eight essays detailing each applicant's leadership experience, community involvement and impact through National Charity League participation. "One of the primary pillars of National Charity League is leadership, so to see that our lessons and examples of leadership have inspired our teens to also lead their peers is very rewarding," said Lara Simmons, Folsom Chapter President. "We are so proud of Sydney and look forward to the wonderful things she does in the future." The 18 Under Eighteen Award recognizes Ticktockers who exemplify passion, dedication, leadership and meaningful community impact throughout their NCL journey. Selected by the Ticktocker Advisory Council, recipients demonstrate an active presence within their chapter while serving as role models for their peers nationwide.
