Palladio in Folsom gearing up for outdoor summer festivities

The sun is out, temperatures are high and Folsom's outdoor shopping mall, the Palladio, is gearing up for a series of activities for the whole community. Palladio officials said they have a full lineup of free family-friendly events, wellness activities, live entertainment and local markets to bring the community together. There will be outdoor yoga classes available, children's story time to farmers markets and a high-energy disco dance party, to name a few events on the summer schedule. Palladio officials are hoping guests of all ages come to visit and enjoy the various fun activities offered in the heart of Folsom. "Our summer event schedule is designed to create experiences that bring people together," said Gloria Wright, Palladio general manager. "Whether guests are shopping, dining, enjoying wellness activities or making memories with family and friends at one of our special events, Palladio is proud to serve as a gathering place for the community all summer long." On the summer schedule are: Soul Yoga When: Saturdays, June-October, 9-10 a.m. Where: Piazza What: Palladio's free yoga with Serenity Spa and Soul Yoga. Bring a mat. Tot Tuesday When: 10 a.m., first and third Tuesdays, May-October. Where: Piazza What: Themed story time and fun activities. Parents must be present. Ages 6 and below. Living Smart Farmers Market When: Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Where: Parking lot by Whole Foods Market What: Living Smart Farmers Market will showcase fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms. Living Smart Farmers Market When: Saturdays, 9 am -1 pm (STARTING IN JUNE) Where: Parking lot by Nordstrom Rack What: Living Smart Farmers Market will showcase fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms at Palladio. 70s Disco Party When: June 6 at 8 p.m. Where: Piazza What: Join the community in the Piazza at the Palladio and "Dance the Night Away" in your disco costume. Make sure to put June 6 at 8 p.m. on your calendar for a night of disco dancing. A DJ will be spinning disco tunes while a dance floor lights up below and beats to the music. There will be a bar with themed drinks for those over 21 years of age. Visitors can also take a picture with the 360 camera to commemorate the occasion.
