State Theatre street party has Country-Western theme

Get your tickets now for Auburn State Theatre's annual Cocktails & Cinema Fundraiser/Street Party on Saturday, June 6, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. This event always sells out so get 'em while they're hot! In front of the Theatre, Lincoln Way will be transformed into a classy Western-themed gala under the stars. Come celebrate the community's can-do spirit and shared heritage with friends, food and fun. Guests are invited to get decked out Country-Western style to join in for a good time. Enjoy tri-tip or BBQ chicken with all the fixin's by Gourmet Garage, Apple Pan Dowdy dessert by Laura Kenny and music by local country band Moonshine Crazy. Refreshing themed cocktails – and mocktails – have been created especially for this event by local restaurateurs: Old Fashion Roots (Restaurant Josephine), Ranch Water (California Club), Revolver (The Hillmont) and Lemon Mint Cooler and Sweet Tea with Peach Nectar (Pat & Pete Enochs). There will be two special beers: Cowboy Krush Hazy IPA by Crooked Lane Brewing and Mellow Mule American Lager by Two Ass Brewing, plus delicious wines from Lecavalier Cellars. Back by popular demand, the talented State Theatre Acting Company (STAC) will again create and perform inspired custom ads for "Trail Boss" sponsors at the event. Take a fun picture with adorable mini donkeys at the hilarious "Kiss My Ass" booth. One lucky attendee will win a pair of "Estate 14-karat white gold dangle earrings set with 1/5 carat total diamond weight" donated by Roper's Jewelers. Auburn State Theatre is grateful to the community for its enthusiastic response to this event. Many thanks to the more than 60 local businesses and individuals who stepped up to sponsor this event. All proceeds will go toward the Theatre's ongoing Restoration Project which, while providing necessary ADA and facility upgrades for reopening, will also transform the building's '70s-era interior layout for expanded community use.
