Lincoln author releases inspirational memoir: The Butterfly in You

"As I played around with it more I started to realize my own patterns and felt so much better in my own skin, and though maybe this could help other people, my book writing just started snowballing from there." Before becoming an author, Mandell built a career in the music industry and later worked as an image consultant and stylist. Her background in creativity and self-expression has influenced her approach to helping others embrace their individuality and develop a deeper understanding of themselves through spiritual guidance and personal reflection. "For myself, the idea of breaking out of a cocoon has always been my thought, so I finally feel like my wings have spread and I am flying, and I just wish that other people who live with depression learn that they can spread their wings and finally live life," Mandell said when asked why she chose a butterfly as the symbol and inspiration of her book.
