NASCAR Edge of Summer brings stock car racing and Drag-a-Boat action to Roseville this Saturday

Roseville's All American Speedway celebrates the Edge of Summer on Saturday night, June 13, with a full evening of NASCAR and INEX racing, highlighted by the popular NAPA Auto Parts Drag-a-Boat race. The NorCal Legend Series joins the local INEX Legends division, while the schedule also features NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Models competing in twin 40-lap features, along with NASCAR Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks. Tickets are available at the gate beginning at 4 p.m. or online at www.allamericanspeedway.com. All seating is general admission. Adult tickets are $20, children ages 6-12 are $15, and kids ages 5 and under are admitted free. Heat races begin at 5 p.m., opening ceremonies are scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by six main events and the NAPA Auto Parts Drag-a-Boat race. A large field of destruction-crazed drivers will tackle the boat race, dragging boats behind their vehicles around All American Speedway. Competitors must survive 15 laps with their boat still attached to claim the $1,000 grand prize. An additional $250 "Master of Disaster" award will be presented to the driver who creates the most chaos during the hard-hitting event. Loomis' Kenna Mitchell has climbed to fifth in the national NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series standings after opening the season with six victories in six Berco Redwood Late Model races. Mitchell will look to continue her dominance in Roseville with twin 40-lap features. She leads Auburn's Colton Nelson by 39 points. Auburn's Thomas Martin, Mill Valley's Monty Tipton, and Madera's Joey Kennealy round out the top five. Other series regulars include Hayden Stepps, Bella Thomsen, and Donald Witkowski. The NorCal Legend Series makes its first Roseville appearance of the season, bringing a strong field of INEX-sanctioned competitors racing for All American Speedway, series, and national points. Fort Bragg's Trey Daniels, a standout in the local Late Model division, won the most recent NorCal Legends event in May at Ukiah Speedway. North Highlands' Rick Andersen leads the All American Speedway Legends standings by just three points over Chad Nascimento, with Randy Fellman sitting third. The division is scheduled for a 35-lap feature, with a 20-lap B-Main to be run if necessary. The NASCAR Modified and Street Stock divisions continue to grow, with some of their strongest fields of the season expected Saturday night. Rocklin's Tyler Wentworth enters undefeated in Modified competition at 3-for-3 while defending his championship. Rio Linda's Jose Hernandez and Carmichael's Bud Anderson rank second and third in the standings heading into the 30-lap feature. In the NASCAR Street Stocks, Shasta Speedway champions Scott MacLeod and Brian King are traveling south to challenge 2025 Roseville champion Tim Walters, who currently leads the 2026 standings. Walters has one victory this season, while former champions Josh Whitfield and Richard Lavallee have also visited Victory Lane. Street Stocks will compete in a 30-lap feature. Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights leads the Mini Stock standings with a 14-point advantage over Lincoln's Brandon Frantz. Former champion Ray Molina of Elverta looks to rebound from a mechanical DNF in round three and currently sits third in the standings. Woodland's Richard Rowland and rookie Casey McLeod round out the top five entering Saturday's 30-lap event. Weekend activities begin Friday with practice from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by an optional INEX Legends feature race. Saturday pit gates open at 11 a.m., with the drivers meeting scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m., qualifying begins shortly thereafter, heat races start at 5 p.m., and opening ceremonies are set for 6 p.m.
