Symphony announces 2026-27 schedule

The Folsom Lake Symphony has announced its 2026-27 concert season, an exciting lineup of celebrated masterworks, distinguished guest artists and festive holiday programming under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Peter Jaffe. The symphony's 23rd season will showcase some of classical music's most beloved compositions, including works by Berlioz, Bruch, Rodrigo, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. The season culminates with a grand performance of Beethoven's monumental Symphony No. 9, featuring vocal soloists, chorus and orchestra. "We are thrilled to present a season that combines artistic excellence, audience favorites and extraordinary guest performers," said Maestro Jaffe. "From intimate musical expression to large-scale symphonic power, this season offers something for everyone." Highlights of the 2026-27 season include: * Internationally acclaimed violinist Joshua Brown performing Bruch's Violin Concerto, renowned for its lyrical beauty and virtuosic brilliance. * Acclaimed bass-baritone Jesús Vicente Murillo headlining the symphony's popular holiday concerts. * Grammy Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux performing Rodrigo's beloved Concierto de Aranjuez, one of the most celebrated works in the guitar repertoire. * Internationally recognized pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, a landmark work known for its emotional depth and extraordinary technical demands. * A season-ending performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 featuring soprano Bianca Orsi, mezzo-soprano Monica Danilov, tenor Ashley Faatoalia, bass-baritone Cedric Berry, the Sacramento Master Singers and the Stockton Chorale.
