Rocklin alum Logan Webb earns third straight MLB All-Star selection

Rocklin High School alum Logan Webb has been named to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game for the third consecutive season. The San Francisco Giants right-hander is 5-6 with a 3.66 ERA through his first 15 starts of the 2026 season. Webb has thrown 93 1/3 innings, striking out 78 batters while posting a 1.168 WHIP. The selection marks Webb's third straight trip to the Midsummer Classic and further cements his place among the National League's top starting pitchers. Since making his MLB debut in 2019, Webb owns a 75-59 career record with a 3.40 ERA, 1,072 strikeouts and 23.5 WAR over 195 appearances (192 starts). After struggling through the first half of the season, Webb has turned it around since returning from the Injured List in May. He was recently named the National League Pitcher of the Month for June. In four of his last five starts, Webb went at least seven innings each time, posting a 1.00 ERA while allowing just three earned runs over 31 innings. He threw three consecutive eight-inning outings during that stretch, including a complete-game loss at Miami on June 21, and earned wins over the Cubs and Braves. Webb told reporters that he was not expecting the all-star nod this season but that it is always an honor to be recognized by his peers as a top pitcher in the sport. Giants first-year manager Tony Vitello said Webb's selection recognizes both his performance this season and the body of work he has put together throughout his career. "Pretty tremendous," Vitello told reporters last week. "Webby obviously did what he did over the course of a month and is always a workhorse for us. But I think it's a celebration of his career, which is more than well-deserved." Webb is slated to make his final start before the All-Star break on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. The 2026 MLB All-Star Game is July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
