El Dorado Hills All-Stars complete outstanding two-year run

El Dorado Hills Major League All-Stars wanted to win a second straight state little league championship this year, as they would advance to the little league regional tournament with an opportunity to go to Williamsports and play for the little league championship. The team fell one game short of their goal. After winning the 10-11-year-old state championship a year ago, EDH lost twice to state champion San Ramon Valley, the second and final time coming Thursday in Chico, 12-2, in five innings. El Dorado Hills simply ran into a better team. San Ramon Valley had beaten EDH two days earlier, 6-2, and beat them worse the second time. It was truly a great run for the El Dorado Hills All-Stars. "It's been an incredible two-year journey, El Dorado Hills Manager Jason Reichard said. "The boys embraced the grind, spending nearly every day over the last two summers on the baseball field. While a couple of key injuries ultimately made it difficult to repeat as state champions, that's part of sports. The ball has to bounce your way. What these young men accomplished together is something truly special for our El Dorado Hills community. I couldn't be prouder of every single one of them."
