Lincoln Bike Park celebrates grand opening at Foskett Park

The Lincoln Bike Park celebrated their grand opening on Aug. 8 at Foskett Park, located on 1911 Finney Way, marking the end of an intense eight-month construction project powered entirely by local volunteers, local businesses and community fundraisers. This bike park began as a 3.5-year effort navigating city approvals and obtaining community vision to create the space for residents to exercise, get outdoors, and most importantly, have fun. Among those celebrating were city officials, the project team, the Lincoln Fire Department, local food/beverage trucks, Lincoln residents and the park's Co-owners/Project Leaders Max Moon, Don Jones and Jake Pebbles. The Bike Park executive team was also presented with certificates of congratulations from the city of Lincoln, Placer County and Congressman Kevin Kiley's Office. Foskett Park now offers a fitness area, walking paths and the bike park. The bike park features dedicated areas for a BMX track, a Mountain bike skills course, a jump line and a dirt 'pump track' while serving the community as a focused and safe space that provides an accessible environment for biking enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels to enjoy. "I'd like to thank the city of Lincoln for building this amazing addition to Lincoln. My grandson finally worked up the courage to drop in on the big track after a couple laps on the small course. He was so stoked and excited," said Lincoln resident Richard Morales. The city of Lincoln donated the land to the specially-formed nonprofit corporation established to manage the site, while dozens of community members have moved the earth to make the park a reality, Moon, Jones and Pebbles have taken on the primary workload, guiding the project from concept to final completion. The team spent three years negotiating and planning before construction began in December 2025. "This was an amazing day for the grand opening of the Lincoln bike park. A huge thank you to Max Moon, Don Jones, and Jake Pebbles for taking a big step to be founders of this bike park. I am truly excited for what is to come here," said Lincoln resident Aaron Enriquez. This grand opening commemorates the completion of Phase One of the bike park. While construction has yet to start on Phase Two, the park is expected to include a future BMX League; events and training free to the public; a mountain bike skill course with rocks, drops, and skinnies; and multiple dirt pump tracks for all ages. At the time of this publication there is no set construction start or completion date for Phase Two. All pedal assist bikes and e-bikes are welcome at the park, however, e-motorcycles and radio controlled cars are prohibited to preserve track conditions and ensure rider safety.
