CHSRA District 3 to host Fall Rodeo and Rib Cook-off

Giddy up partner! On Oct. 24, the Lincoln Rodeo Grounds, located at 17 Lincoln Boulevard, will be the site of a family-friendly Rib Cook-Off and Mutton Bustin' Fundraiser, bringing together families, rodeo enthusiasts, barbecue competitors and kids. The event is hosted by the California High School Rodeo Association District 3. This year's main attraction will be Mutton Bustin', where youngsters can climb aboard a sheep and experience the excitement of the rodeo arena. Youngsters must be under 50 pounds and must wear a safety helmet and vest. The fee for each ride is $75. The mini rodeo starts at 1 p.m. with Mutton Bustin', Team Roping and Broncs. It ends with barrel racing, which will then be followed by a 4x4 Monster Truck Muddin' and kids zone, including face painting and other kid-friendly activities. The event also features a Rib Cook-off, giving barbecue enthusiasts an opportunity to compete, showcase their cooking skills and bring some serious 'BBQ' to the community. Ribs will be ready to eat at 2:30 p.m. For more information and tickets for the Rodeo click here. Fore more information and registration for Mutton Bustin' click here.
