Alyssa Anderson, a junior at the University of Arizona and a 2008 graduate of Granite Bay High School, was selected as one of six Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmers of the Week, according to arizonawildcats.com.Anderson was honored by the website CollegeSwimming.com after winning three events for Arizona in a 177-123 victory over rival Arizona State.She won the 200 butterfly in 1 minute, 57.59 seconds and then claimed the 500 freestyle in 4:50.19. Anderson has the fastest time in the country in the 500 free. She finished with a win in the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:02.51.A team captain at Arizona, Anderson recently was selected to the United States team for the World University Games this summer in Shenzhen, China.Capitals will be host to Serena Williams this seasonThe Sacramento Capitals announced this week they will return to the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights this summer for their World TeamTennis home matches, one of which will include Serena Williams playing for the Washington Kastles.Williams, a 27-time Grand Slam champion, including 13 singles crowns, is returning to the Kastles, who won the WTT crown in 2009.The season schedule hasn't been released.The Capitals selected Mardy Fish with the third pick in the WTT Marquee Player Draft.
