B&J coasts into title win

B&J Auto Body Shop might only have a satellite office in Folsom with headquarters located at 11000 Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova, but clients thought enough of their work to vote them Best Auto Body Shop in the Telegraph's annual Best of the Best contest.B&J has been in Folsom for four years. While they earned the most votes in auto body repair and specialize in full collision repair, they also offer restorations, custom paint jobs, light mechanical repairs, as well as offering a towering and battery service.Since opening its doors in 1961, B&J has had the motto of "totally satisfied service every time" and that's what helped lead them to being a Best of the Best contest winner. The business has grown over the last 50 years to include 75 employees along with 18 tow trucks."It means a lot to win this award especially in these economic times that we're in right now," said Mike Passof, one of the business' three owners along with Dan Charlebois and Sam Johnson. "When looking at today's market, to get a response like this means we're doing a pretty good job of hitting that market and that's encouraging to see. We're doing a good job of meeting our customers' needs."In meeting those needs, B&J has gotten a lot of repeat business and many referrals. "Despite the economy, we're doing well," Passof said. "I attribute that to the good word of mouth we're getting, as well as from our repeat customers."While B&J was voted "best auto body shop," Passof said he's proud of his company's roadside service, which he believes plays a positive role in the business."I would say people voted for us because of our consistency," Passof said. "We come in contact with a lot more people with our roadside and battery service and plenty of people head to our body shop because of the experience they've had with us there.
