New furniture store opens in Rocklin

Customer service and a family business, to Anthony Quattrocchi, go hand-in-hand. And the Quattrocchi family business - Old Town Furniture - is offering top customer service along with quality merchandise. The 11,000-square-foot store opened its doors Nov. 22 at the new Blue Oaks Marketplace, on the corner of Blue Oaks and Lonetree boulevards in Rocklin and the response "has been great," Quattrocchi said."We're kind of a 'middle-of-the-road' company," Quattrocchi said about the family business, headquartered in Santa Rosa. "We have a good product mix," of merchandise.His family places customer satisfaction as primary importance. "I'll bend over backwards to give people what they want," Quattrocchi said. "We want people to have a great experience when they come here; to enjoy themselves. There's no high pressure sales."We do a lot of special orders," he said. "If we haven't got it, we can get it. I'm a hands-on owner. I'm available all the time."Quattrocchi's father, who moved the family from New York City, opened his first store in Santa Rosa in 1980. The family now has two stores there and one in Vacaville.The entire family - patriarch Paul, mother Nancy, brother Paulie and sister Deanna Marsh - is active in running the business. Anthony, who still lives in Santa Rosa with his family, oversees five employees in the Rocklin store.The business has slowly expanded over the years. The family opened the Vacaville store in 1997 and scouted the Sacramento area for several years, before deciding on Rocklin."We looked for places of growth," Quattrocchi said, "places that had the right demographics for our stores. For years, my dad had looked in the old part of Roseville, but the time wasn't right. The timing and the potential for growth have to be there."Quattrocchi is always on the lookout for quality products."I prefer to use American manufacturers," Quattrocchi said, bemoaning the decline of furniture makers in the U.S. because of pressure from cheaper imports. The store features several styles, including traditional and mission-style oak, rustic and painted pine, maple, birch and cherry furniture. Also featured are slip-covered and upholstered sofas and chairs, combined with a large selection of unique home accessories and gifts. Delivery is available and the company will ship anywhere in the world.
