Harris Everist Henry5/15/1913 - 1/21/2006 Harris Everist Henry passed away on January 21, 2006, at the age of 92. He was born in Shannon City, IA on May 15, 1913 to Mayme (Everist) and William H. Henry. He married his first wife, Pauline Webb in 1932 and adopted a daughter, Shirley Ann Henry. He farmed for many years in Tama County, IA. After his retirement and the death of his first wife, he moved to California where he met and married Clarissa Russell in 1985. He is survived by two sisters, Ruth Cole of Afton, IA, and Gertrude Sieck of Colorado Springs, Co; two brothers, William Henry (Thelma) of Cantonville, MD and Charles Henry (Harriet) of Des Moines, and a brother-in-law, LeRoy McDonald of Creston, IA; two step-daughters, Elaine Rilea of Rocklin CA, and Shirley (Gene) Molnar of Simi Valley, CA; five step-grandchildren, Petrina Rilea, Stacy Rilea, Mike (Karen) Rilea, Eugene (Vivian) Molnar and Maria(Scott) Dinger; and five step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pauline; his second wife Clarissa; daughter, Shirley Ann Coffman; two sisters, Hazel McDonald, and Wilda Denton; three brother-in-laws, John Cole, Dale Denton and, Dean Sieck, and a step-son-in-law, David Rilea. Graveside services will be held in Kellerton, IA.Barbara Nakae4/24/1922 - 2/6/2006 Barbara Nakae of Newcastle, CA, born April 24, 1922 passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on February 6, 2006. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her husband of 37 years, Howard Nakae; her 10 children: Carol Iwasaki, Jan Lee, Sheila Enriquez, Georgia Wright, Russell Nakae, Glenn Nakae, Arlie Capps, Reynold Capps, Joseph Capps, and Ramona Turbovsky; 34 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Barbara had been an artist all of her life, using various media to express her subjects. Her works include portraits of Arabian horses, etchings of battleships and most recently she created 14 stations of the cross for the Divine Savior Church in Orangevale. At present she was working on 14 stations for a Catholic Church in Mexico. For these projects she used enameling on copper and put in very long hours of detailed work. Barbara lives on in her family and her beautiful artwork. Services for Barbara were held Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 585 D St., Lincoln, CA. Rosary began at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10 a.m. Burial was at Newcastle District Cemetery, 950 Taylor Rd., Newcastle, CA. A reception followed. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the new St. Joseph's Catholic Church Building Fund.
