Fair Oaks Renaissance Tudor Fayre June 24, 25

Learn the graceful English Country or the lively Irish dance during the Fair Oaks Renaissance Tudor Fayre scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25.The festivities, which mark the 20th anniversary, will include dance classes, archery lessons and Renaissance "poker" games.The "Ren Tudor Fayre" will be the place for residents to let down their and try things they've never done before. It's also the place to dress up in velvet and lace for Anne Boleyn's coronation, the fashionable French queen who brought color to the court.During this re-creation of a seaport in Merrie Olde England, more than 1,200 Renaissance players in period costume will bring history to life. Craftsmen will demonstrate unique, handmade wares.Three stages of fire-spinning jugglers, magicians and musicians plus an Ale Garden will keep the entertainment rolling. For the first time this year, the Ren Tudor Fayre members will join the Citrus Heights parade scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. A shuttle at the end of the parade from Sunrise Mall will be available to take visitors to the Fayre.Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sacramento chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
