Salatino earns Cal Poly degreeShawn Porter Louis Salatino, son of Louis and Carol Salatino, received his Bachelors of Science Degree in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, on June 13, 2009.Shawn had lived in Auburn from the age of 5, when his parents moved from the San Jose area in 1988, until he graduated from high school. He attended Rock Creek Elementary School, E.V. Cain Middle School, and Placer High School respectively. After one semester at Cal Poly he was called to serve a two year mission for his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Paraguay, South America. When he returned to Cal Poly, he met and married Vanessa Needham. Shawn and Vanessa now have two beautiful daughters, Erika, 6, and Sydney, 2. Shawn has been hired to continue working for a civil engineering firm, Wallace Group, in San Luis Obispo for whom he has been doing part time work for the past four years while attending school.Kennerson done with trainingAir Force Airman Cortney A. Kennerson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills..She is the daughter of Linda Kennerson of Pleasanton and David Kennerson of Auburn. Kennerson is a 2006 graduate of Village High School in Pleasanton.Belajic earns optometry degreeDaniel A. Belajic has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, Penn.He is the son of Dr. Robert and Mrs. Marjie Belajic of Auburn.Dr. Belajic completed his undergraduate work at the University of San Diego, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.Dr. Belajic was a member of the Institutional review Board for the national Institutes of Health (NIH) for three years and participated in a humanitarian mission to Guatemala for Students in Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH) while a student at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
