Cutts picked to lead ranger district

Her extensive Forest Service experience is one reason Jan Cutts was selected as the District Ranger for the American River Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest.Cutts has worked with the U.S. Forest Service as an assistant archeologist, public affairs officer and civil right officer at the Inyo National Forest near Bishop for the past 16 years.She served as acting district ranger at the Foresthill ranger station for four months previously on a temporary assignment."I'm excited about coming back to the American River Ranger District and look forward to continuing the work of the Forest Service, renewing the relationships I developed before and creating new ones," Cutts said.Steve Eubanks, forest supervisor, said he's glad to have back Cutts, who has a bachelor of science degree in anthropology from UC Davis."I'm pleased that Jan will be joining the team. She has demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm and a strong ability to work with people both inside and outside the Forest Service," Eubanks said.
