Alice M. Oliver

Alice M. Oliver, a resident of Meadow Vista, died September 3, 2005 at the age of 89. Born July 8, 1916 in South Pasadena to John and Alice Williams. She raised 3 daughters and worked as administrative assistant to the superintendent/president of Pasadena City College. She retired to Meadow Vista with her husband, Ross K. Oliver, in 1982. She was active in the Placer Hills United Methodist Church, the Friendly Neighbors, Newcomers and the Garden Clubs. She volunteered at the Discovery Shop and the Auburn Faith Hospital gift shop. Mrs. Oliver is survived by three daughters, Christine (Steven) Torre of Yorba Linda; Linda (Dennis) Montgomery of Anaheim Hills and Nancy (Thomas) Riddle of Lincoln; her brother Willis M. Williams of Paso Robles; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Oliver will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and loyal friend to all. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 4-7 PM at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA. Funeral services will take place Friday, September 9, 2005 at Chapel of the Hills at 11 AM.
