Every year, thousands of readers participate by nominating and voting for their favorites across hundreds of categories. The result is the most comprehensive community-driven recognition program in the region.
Whether you’re looking for the best restaurant, healthcare provider, home service company, retail store, community event, or local professional, Best of the Best showcases the businesses and people that have earned the trust and support of our communities.
Best of the Best is independently determined by community nominations and voting and is not influenced by advertising participation.
Each community has its own Best of the Best program, allowing local residents to recognize the businesses and organizations that serve their area.
Round One Communities
During the nomination period, community members submit nominations for their favorite businesses, organizations, events, and professionals.
Nomination Period: 2 WeeksA business, person, organization, or event only needs to be nominated once to advance to the voting round.
After finalists are determined, the voting round begins.
Voting Period: 4 WeeksCommunity members can vote for their favorites once per day throughout the voting period.
Thousands of votes are cast annually as residents help determine who will earn the title of Best of the Best.
Once voting concludes, votes are verified and winners are announced.
Winners and Finalists are recognized in their respective categories and featured in a special Best of the Best publication, dedicated newspaper pages, and online across our digital platforms.
